Learn About Our Patio Furniture Shop

Lynn’s Patio Shop and Casual Furnishings was established in 1978 by Lynn Franklin. Lynn knew that she could sell upscale leisure furniture at competitive prices and then service those products years after the sale.

Starting small and growing steadily, Lynn went from renting retail space to buying land and building the present location in 1983. Within 3 years, another much larger warehouse was needed and built (off-location). This second warehouse was soon doubled in size as the business continued to grow.

Lynn’s Patio Shop started as a family business and is to this day. In 1978, Lynn became the only salesperson. All deliveries were made by her husband, Jack, after work and their son, Doug, each day after school. The very first delivery truck was a 1963 Ford pickup truck. Deliveries were made in that open truck, rain or shine, regardless of temperature or how late it took to finish.

Flash forward to today. Lynn’s Patio Shop has grown to an over 11,000 square foot furniture display. They maintain an enormous on-hand inventory in the warehouse for immediate delivery. Because casual furniture is what they specialize in, it is a year-round business. The showroom is never converted to another seasonal product like Christmas trees and decorations, hot tubs, fireplace logs, or pool tables. It is a patio and casual furniture store that is open every day, where you will always find a tremendous selection of the finest manufacturers and styles.

In 2022, Garrett Franklin, son of owner, Doug, and Concheta Franklin, graduated from Western Kentucky University (his parents’ Alma Mater). Upon graduation, Garrett joined the family business full-time. Garrett grew up helping in the family business. He started in the warehouse, building furniture and assisting with deliveries. Throughout college, he returned home every weekend to work at the patio shop. In 2023, Garrett married his high school sweetheart, Emmie, and they live in Gallatin with their standard poodle, Annie. Not only has Garrett become an integral part of the business, but this father/son duo truly enjoy working together. 

The Franklin family feels it is an honor and a privilege to serve their customers and friends in Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. Lynn’s Patio Shop still strives to earn new and repeat customers' respect and business.
